Bing May Replace Google Search
Now that Google has joined the cell phone industry with the introduction of Nexus One, Apple Google rivalry seems to become worse. At the moment Google is the default search engine on iPhones. News is, now this will not be the case.
Most probably Apple will team up with Microsoft and make Bing available on iPhone, instead of Google as the default search engine. If you continue to be dubious what Bing is: Bing is a search engine from Microsoft. What sets Bing in a different league than other search engines like Yahoo, Google is its visual aspects. The backdrop of the Bing home page is changing often and you will find important information provided in regards to the picture and things related to it. However, the search results are not that good as compared to Google. Nevertheless, one should certainly check out Bing for its design (Personally, I use BIng only for its homepage).
Going back to our subject, Bing may replace Google on iPhones. This can be a huge loss to Google and a big achievement to Microsoft. A while ago Google and Apple were two biggies of two totally different sectors. but now Google has entered the Mobile market and may be in future it might also give tough opposition to Apple. (Though at present there is no Smartphone which is as sought after as iPhone. You would say Blackberry, but it provides services to a particular section in contrast to iPhone that is coveted by everyone.) The guys at this iphone blog say if change inthe search engine takes place, Microsoft may become the majorsearch engine and will overtake Google.
Unsure what they mean by ‘overtake’: Merely for iPhone users or will it also affect the usage routine on Desktops and Netbooks. And if that occurs, that would be news. After all decade of being used to Google, will shifting to Bing feel fine? I do know I just said I like Bing but not as much as Google.
