Google Once Again In Trouble. This Time Its Nexus One
Google Nexus had set up sensation even before it had been brought out. Before its release, the chat that Google was getting into cell cell phone market was a thing that didn't go down well with all. And just after introduction, the fact that Google Nexus came out to be as thought and not a lot more than what Google admirers has anticipated let down persons. And now after days after the phone's release, here's yet another problem - Google phone is being sued for its name Nexus One.
The name Nexus One is claimed to be copied from Philip K Dicks book 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?'. The author's daughter has contacted the press accusing Google of taking the name of the cell phone from her father's book with no referring to them.
Wheather the name is truly copied from the book or not is unsure. Google obviously will deny the accusation. But the writer's daughter appears to be unwilling to dissuade and not comply with Google. If the matter gets really serious, they may possibly have to get the legal help. And if Google losses the case, a big amount will need to be given towards the writer's daughter (A lot could say, the point is being raised only to get hold of big money. Like Motorola had to pay in order to make use of the name Droid). Google anyway these days is having problems from all sides - there is this Apple-Google battle, Google is soon going to be from iPhone (Bing will come in place of Google search engine on iPhone), touch screen problem with Apple and what not. Looks like Google's step into mobile phone market is resulting in a good deal of complications.
Sometime back Google was much like the King within the web business (it still tops) but with so many issues and dissapointments (referring to Nexus One), tables could turn veryquite soon.
Let's see what happens and who wins.
